Lamborghini won’t follow Ferrari with faux manuals

• We reported on the imminent arrival of the manual 12Cilindri, but were blindsided by the fact the ‘E-shift’ system essentially just works through the existing automatic transmission

• Lamborghini, which recently jumped on the Ferrari Luce announcement, won’t be doing a similar electronic application in future cars

• Indications are the mark will not pursue a similar system, as the brand shifts to more racing-oriented technologies, Lamborghini will continue leveraging transmissions closely tied to modern motorsport
