ICE Porsche 718 may be dead after all

• Back in February, we reported that Porsche had killed the electric 718 Cayman and that an internal combustion engine (ICE) refresh was imminent

• Since, drippings out of Stuttgart and several test mules seemed to indicate support for the 718’s return

• However, as Volkswagen reorganizes following a multitude of costly errors around electric vehicle adoption (i.e. over investment), Porsche may be forced to eliminate the 718 from the lineup entirely

• The 718 remains unavailable to order via Porsche or on Porsche.com
