Ferrari announces gated “manual” 12Cilindri

  • In June, we reported that a manual transmission 12Cilindri was coming and today Ferrari has announced the 12Cilindri Manuale

  • Unfortunately, this limited edition model of the V-12 grand tourer still utilizes the existing dual-clutch transmission mounted in the rear of the car

  • Instead of installing a true manual, Ferrari has created a proprietary “E-Shift” system which mimics the weight and feel of a true manual Ferrari while operating electric switches that work the existing 8-speed transmission

  • It appears Ferrari wants to continue targeted their new market of people with more money than sense
