BMW reveals production car with ‘Neue Klasse’ design language

  • Although not a GT car, BMW has revealed the first production example of it’s ‘Neue Klasse’ design language with the BMW i3 EV

  • The i3 is essentially an electric Model 3 but we expect future performance products to begin to shift to the new language

  • Rumors indicate electric standard models and SUVs will be first to be fully redesigned with ‘Neue Klasse’ with only minor design elements making it into M cars for the foreseeable future

  • Most relevant to our focus, the BMW M2 and M4 are expected to retain their current form (including the manual transmission option) through the 2029 model year
