RS 3 coupe more likely following the new RS 5 reveal

  • Audi revealed the new RS 5 and is now marketing it alongside the new A5 lineup as a sport sedan with no coupe offering

  • The platform now weighs in it at over 5,000 pounds and offers 630hp from a hybrid-electric powertrain paired with the previously featured 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6

  • Avant wagon version also joins the sedan but is not confirmed for the US

  • Audi continues to have no coupe in the lineup, with only a potential R8 successor in the pipeline

  • Audi is still looking for applications to keep the 5-cylinder alive, with no RS 5 coupe offering it is more likely than ever that an RS 3 coupe will be confirmed by 2027
