BMW M4 will remain through 2029

  • Internal sources at BMW believe the current G82 platform will remain in production through summer 2029

  • Despite the recent introduction of ‘Neue Klasse’ design language in other models the G82 M4 will only feature minor updates

  • Hybridization is not expected on the current platform

  • The manual transmission option will remain through the duration of the production run; it seems BMW realizes the G82 may be one of the last GT-oriented M cars appealing to purists along with its M2 sibling
