Porsche 911 GT4 variant caught testing

  • A Porsche 911 with GT4 regulation components (brakes, lighting, etc.) has been spotted in Manthey badging testing at the Nurburgring

  • 4-liter naturally aspirated flat six is featured with a higher ride height and less extensive aerodynamics than 911 GT3R models

  • The variant was likely conceived during the planned retirement of internal combustion 718 which would also have led to the end of the 718 GT4 Clubsport

  • Despite assumptions, we consider it most likely that both a 718 GT4 Clubsport and this new 911 GT4 model will continue to exist now that the internal combustion 718 platform will remain in production
