Audi rumored to be developing RS3-based coupe

  • With the Audi TT, A5, S5, RS5, and R8 coupes out of production Audi aims to fill gap in the lineup

  • Will be based on the RS3 platform with two doors and a low-slung coupe roofline

  • 2.5 liter, turbocharged, inline five-cylinder from the RS3 to be retained

  • While clearly oriented towards enthusiasts, manual unlikely given focus on commonality with the RS3

  • Expect seven-speed, dual-clutch, automatic (S tronic)
